She and her fellow team members work of developing and designing Common Core aligned materials and assessments for the recently implemented ELA curriculum. The students in my class that Candice was able to offer consistent extra support and was able to exceed their goals. Her guidance has helped teachers effectively look at student work and also review screening and progress monitoring data in order to make deliberate instructional moves. As a former public school educator and a current homeschooling parent, I can appreciate the amount of work and dedication put into this course. I love how this course identifies and focuses on some of the most important foundations of literacy. I also am thankful for the understandings provided on literacy terminology, distinguishing various sounds, the highlighted importance of PHONICS, and the fun activities/strategies.
