Meet our partner “TeeRead,” an easy-to-use reading app that will assess your child’s fluency in 5 minutes. Our Urby Butterflies will have access to a library of books that will automatically update according to their reading progress. They can also share their books with other Urby Butterflies who enroll in Urby Reading Academy. Let’s build your child’s fluency and reading comprehension. *Membership is included in the monthly fee  http://students.teeread.com/

So, about 2 weeks ago, I came across my former hs classmate and friend, Candice Williams of Urby Education In the past 2 weeks, Makemba has learned to read and spell off of just 1 of many lessons...that's 1 lesson in 2 weeks. Damon and I are in awe of how much she's learned in such little time. Candice has amazing techniques and makes it fun for kids to learn and read. She and her fellow team members work of developing and designing Common Core aligned materials and assessments for the recently implemented ELA curriculum. The students in my class that Candice was able to offer consistent extra support and was able to exceed their goals. Her guidance has helped teachers effectively look at student work and also review screening and progress monitoring data in order to make deliberate instructional moves. Candice genuinely respects the teachers that she works with and they very much respect her.
